Research
This page showcases the research happening in our Critical Care Research Lab—both projects currently in progress and studies we have already completed.
Everything we do is driven by one goal: to improve care for patients in intensive care units. Our team studies important questions about how critical illnesses develop, how treatments can be made more effective, and how the care provided in ICUs can lead to better outcomes for patients and families.
We’re excited to share updates as our projects move forward, and we’re proud of the discoveries we’ve made so far. This page will continue to grow as we break new ground, publish findings, and explore new directions in critical care research.
Ongoing Research Projects
This study investigates advanced monitoring of circulatory shock using high‑resolution near‑infrared spectroscopy (hr‑NIRS) and Wavelet analysis.
This study introduces a novel wavelet-based framework using hr‑NIRS to assess physiological coherence between brain and skeletal muscle microcirculation and with systemic blood pressure.
